What is Birth Photography and what does it entail?

In the hours leading up to the arrival of your baby, between the mountains of emotions and the valleys of laboring, whether this is at home, in a hospital, or at a birthing center, whether it’s vaginal or belly birthing, a photographer can help to document this powerful, intimate moment of your parenthood journey.

In this realm, my focus is on raw connections between partners, family, and the creation of a fresh bond in the face of new life.

Birth photography can be both beautiful and emotional. For many families, birth photography is a way to immortalize one of the most significant events we undergo as humans, further allowing us to genuinely process the experience that is labor and delivery. It also is a vessel in which your first face-to-face with a life you have created may be preserved eternally, without you ever needing to leave the “here and now” of your newly enlarged family.

Birth Photography covers labor + delivery + golden hour, chronologically documenting your whole story in static images. No set timeframe or photo volume. Digital album access. Pricing begins at $650. Parenthood in Bloom does accept credit cards and payment plans.
Birth Videography is a 4-7 minute highlight reel that captures the essence of your child’s birth story. Pricing begins at $400. Parenthood in Bloom does accept credit cards and payment plans.
*This is a Birth Doula client documentary-style exclusive session that focuses on capturing the "firsts": First look, first kiss, first feeding, first weight, and all of that precious family bonding. Golden Hour Sessions do not include any images from labor and delivery. No set photo volume. Limited to the first two hours immediately post-delivery. Digital album access. Pricing begins at $300.
